Launch Summit & Mini Festival

A publicly-funded organization under the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, the China Vegan Society was established in 2021 as China’s first publicly-funded vegan advocacy organization. To mark this historic launch, we invited vegan activists and supporters from across China and around the world to celebrate, network, attend workshops, hear inspiring speeches, and build momentum for future action in a two-day summit and festival.

Over 150 people traveled to the Veggie Ark vegan organic farm in beautiful Dali, Yunnan to attend the event in-person. Dozens more participated remotely from around the world via conference calls and pre-recorded talks. We were honored and inspired to receive congratulatory messages from influential animal and vegan advocates such as Jane Goodall, Peter Singer, Joaquin Phoenix, and more.
