Vegan Citywalk in Suzhou
The Vegan City Walk in Suzhou offers a unique blend of cultural and culinary exploration. Suzhou, an ancient city renowned for its classical gardens, historic temples, and winding canals, is also a hidden gem for vegan enthusiasts. This project is designed to take participants on a journey through Suzhou’s rich history while highlighting its thriving vegan scene.

Roundtable discussions
Dig deep into key vegan advocacy topics such as regional movement-building, communicating animal issues, and more. Each roundtable features a 45-minute conversational discussion between experts from different countries with a 15-minute audience Q&A session at the end.

Vegan advocacy open mic
Open sharing and networking sessions invite the whole Chinese vegan community to share their projects and discuss topics they care about. Expect to hear stories, advocacy projects, business ideas, media strategies, and on-the-ground observations from diverse Chinese participants representing all regions and sectors.

Plant up Vegan Creative Contest
On the 2024 China Vegan Summit, we are launching the "PlantUp" Creative Planning Contest. With the theme Serve a Meal for 100 People with 5000CNY, we are openly inviting young activists to participate in a creative public engagement planning and implementation challenge. The selected proposal will be presented at the Summit 2024.

The 2024 China Vegan Summit will be held offline at the Sangha Retreat by OCTAVE Institute, a luxury holistic wellness retreat center in historic Suzhou, China.

The venue Octave Sangha Retreat is located in Suzhou, a neighboring city to Shanghai with excellent transport connections:
-Sunan Shuofang International Airport, approx. 55 mins drive, Taxi cost: approx. 200RMB.
-Shanghai HongQiao International Airport, approx.65 mins drive, Taxi cost: approx. 300RMB.
-Shanghai Pudong International Airport, approx. 115mins drive, Taxi cost: approx. 500RMB.
-Suzhou Industrial Park Bullet Train Station, approx. 20 mins drive, Taxi Cost: approx. 50RMB.
-High-speed train services available from Shanghai HongQiao High-speed Railway Station (one stop from Hongqiao Airport by metro Line 2) to Suzhou Industrial Park Station (24mins to 40mins, 7 services per day).

As an offline event, this year’s China Vegan Summit will focus on providing immersive and interactive experiences to attendees. Any content that lends itself to online participation or livestreaming will be made available online. Please stay tuned for details.

Past Summits
2023 China Vegan Summit
78 speakers from China and abroad attended the summit with an accumulated 500+ participants and 6,000+ vegan market visitors over three days. The summit forged stronger ties among advocates and entrepreneurs and experts.
2022 China Vegan Summit
The first China Vegan Summit brought together over 60 vegan advocates and entrepreneurs from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, the UK, the US, Israel, Australia, and France for an action-packed two-day online event.
2021 Launch Ceremony & Summit
On May 22, 2021, the China Vegan Society celebrated its launch with 150 vegan advocates and entrepreneurs from across China in a two-day mini-summit in Dali, Yunnan.
