CVS launches Vegan Chinese New Year Dinner campaign
Let’s welcome the Year of the Tiger with a vegan feast!
Chinese New Year 2022 lands on February 1, and for the most important dinner of the year, the China Vegan Society has launched an online campaign to flood Chinese social media with mouth-watering vegan holiday dishes!
This WeChat-based campaign engages four key groups to participate in some vegan fun:
HOME COOKS. Vegans and vegan-curious home cooks nationwide will receive new recipes, share homemade vegan culinary creations on social media, and enter a prize draw.
CHEFS. Top vegan and vegan-friendly chefs from around China will share festive vegan recipes suitable for an unforgettable home-cooked Chinese New Year dinner.
VEGAN BRANDS. Local and international vegan brands sponsor gifts for the vegan goodie bags that participants can win.
VEGAN PLATFORMS. Vegan and sustainability-focused social media platforms across China will participate in sharing and promoting the campaign to maximize visibility and participation.
The campaign is running from now until Chinese New Year’s Day on February 1, 2022!
How can home cooks participate?
Prepare a festive Chinese New Year holiday dish using 100% vegan ingredients
Scan the QR code in the poster and take photos of the dish to generate your own personalized Vegan Chinese New Year Challenge poster
Share the poster in your WeChat moments or in the Vegan Chinese New Year Challenge WeChat group
Participate via group chat: Add CVS on WeChat (“chinavegans522”) and ask to join the #VeganCNY group chat.
Participate via WeChat moments: Add CVS on WeChat (“chinavegans522”), share your challenge poster and photos of your dish on your WeChat moments with the hashtag #VeganCNY. Be sure to tag CVS in your post!
