We're entering the year of tiger, which represents strength and tenacity in Chinese culture. The China Vegan Society is excited to begin a new year of bold and impactful vegan advocacy. Here are 12 New Year's wishes for each of the 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac (scroll to the bottom to read the English translations)

🐅 Tiger: We wish that people will choose to protect wild animals instead of eating them.

🐀 Rat: We wish that new technology can be developed to replace animal testing in laboratories.

🐂 Ox: We wish that in the new year, more people will choose a plant-based diet and reduce their impact on the planet.

🐇 Rabbit: We wish that more people will choose cruelty-free cosmetics.

🐉 Dragon: We wish that people will protect the animals of the sea and take care of aquatic ecosystems.

🐍 Snake: We wish that people will choose a healthier lifestyle and reduce their dependence on medicines that are made from and tested on animals.

🐎 Horse: We wish that people will choose not to use animals in harmful ways, such as racing or fighting.

🐐 Goat: We wish that people will make more sustainable fashion choices and avoid buying fur, leather, or other clothing made from animals.

🐒 Monkey: We wish that people will choose not to consume exploitative animal entertainment, such as animal exhibitions and performances.

🐓 Rooster: We wish that people will choose healthy plant-based foods more often.

🐕 Dog: We wish that people will cherish their pets and adopt animals in need of homes rather than buying them as commodities.
