2023 2nd China Vegan Summit Successfully Hosted in Suzhou, China
During this summit, we
programmed in speeches on veganism, animal rights, vegan businesses, college activism, and global vegan advocacy;
featured some of the most notable vegan advocacy across China in the past year;
released the findings of the 1st national survey on attitudes of China’s Gen Z towards vegan lifestyle;
offered skill training workshops on effective advocacy;
organized two rounds of pitches to select the (inaugural) 2024 China Vegan Action Fellows; announced a world alliance of vegan foods certifications; premiered new docu-series;
and hosted a vegan market that showcased the amazing (and still growing) variety and quality of Chinese vegan products.
78 speakers from China and abroad attended the summit with an accumulated 500+ participants and 6,000+ vegan market visitors over three days. Apart from reflecting on what we have learned in the past few years, the summit also forged stronger ties among some of the nation’s most dedicated and active advocates and entrepreneurs and facilitated dialogues on future strategies based on work areas. We are proud to have selected six China Vegan Action Fellows for 2024, who will further develop and implement their innovative initiatives with support from the China Vegan Summit in the coming year.
