Showcasing the best in Asia's vegan and vegetarian industry

The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic drew the public's attention toward health and caused many people to change their eating habits. An increasing number of people are prioritizing plant-based foods, becoming flexitarian, or even transitioning to a vegetarian or vegan diet. As healthy diets and lifestyles become a mainstream trend, the Vegetarian Food Asia exhibition is no longer the domain of dedicated vegetarians and vegans--the event welcomes people from all ends of the plant-based spectrum, including those who have yet to begin their journey. Bringing a bold attitude and unique perspective to the development of vegetarian and vegan culture, the organizers bring in a variety of innovative foods that appeal to diverse consumer groups, from plant-based meats to dairy-free ice cream.

With the surging popularity of vegetarian and flexitarian diets, the exhibition's annual attendance continues to grow year over year. Last year's exhibition broke records and brought unprecedented new opportunities to exhibitors with more than 40,000 visits. The Hong Kong Quality Veggie Awards (HKQVA), held at VFA for the first time in 2022, presented outstanding products selected by a panel of professional judges and simultaneously set a new benchmark to raise all-round product quality within the vegetarian industry. This year's awards have attracted more high-quality enterprises and products to participate and promote the year's top vegetarian products to the public.

Organisers expect more than 40,000 visitors at the 2023 Vegetarian Food Asia exhibition

Green Living Pavilion offers a feast for the senses

As healthy and sustainable lifestyles become more and more popular, VFA presents new ideas and breaks out of the status quo by integrating the "green living" concept into every aspect of our lives. This year's exhibition proudly unveils the all-new Green Living Pavilion, featuring healthy beverages, baked goods, and all kinds of health and wellness products, such as vegetarian nutritional supplements, organic personal care products, health treatments, and more. The Green Living Pavilion expands the concept of vegetarianism/veganism from a diet to a lifestyle based on the principle of improving our quality of life without harming the environment.

This year’s exhibition features the first Mix & Match VegCoffee Competition

Vegan cooking competition

Oat and coconut milk lattes aren't just for vegans anymore--they're healthy options that are popular with all kinds of people. This year's exhibition features the inaugural Mix & Match "VegCoffee" competition, which challenges participating teams to create a menu that uses plant-based egg and dairy substitutes in creative and delicious ways. Coffee lovers can't miss this event!
